DRAFT – to be reviewed by a solicitor. Not legal advice. Use this as a standalone Acceptable Use Policy linked from the Terms (clause 4), and show a short version as the declaration when a quote is added (see product-changes.md, P2).
WinTheMove Acceptable Use Policy: who you may chase
1. Only people who asked you for a quote. You may only add a person to WinTheMove, or let WinTheMove send them follow-ups, if that person asked your business for a quote for the specific move you are following up, whether directly (phone, email, your website, social media message, a visit) or through a quote-comparison or lead site that sent you their enquiry. Before using WinTheMove for leads from a lead site, check that its terms allow you to follow up those leads, and to use third-party tools to do so.
2. Not allowed. You must not use WinTheMove to email or message: (a) bought, rented, scraped or shared lists, or people whose details you got from someone else without them asking you for a quote; (b) past customers or contacts about a new job or different services (WinTheMove is for following up the quote they asked for); (c) anyone who has told you, or us, that they don't want follow-ups, or who has unsubscribed; or (d) anyone you know to be under 18.
3. Tell them and give them a way out. When you collect a customer's details or send the quote, tell them you may send a few follow-up emails about the quote, sent using WinTheMove, and that they can opt out at any time. For example: "We may send you a few follow-up emails about this quote (sent using WinTheMove). Just reply 'stop' or use the unsubscribe link if you'd rather we didn't." Your privacy notice must mention that you use WinTheMove and link from your WinTheMove settings.
4. Keep it honest and on-topic. Follow-up wording must be about the quote the customer asked for. It must not include false or misleading claims (for example, saying a date is about to go when it isn't), and it must not advertise unrelated products or third parties.
5. WhatsApp and text shortcuts. Messages you send from your own phone using WinTheMove's shortcuts are sent by you. The same rules apply: only contact people who asked you for a quote, and stop if they ask.
6. Honour opt-outs straight away. If someone asks you to stop, mark them in WinTheMove (or use "Customer replied"/"Lost") so no more follow-ups are sent.
7. Our rights. If we reasonably believe this policy is being broken, we may pause follow-ups, ask you for evidence that a person requested a quote, suspend your account, or end your subscription under the Terms.

☐ This person asked us for this quote, and we've told them we may send a few follow-up emails, which they can opt out of at any time. I agree to WinTheMove's [Acceptable Use Policy].
